Teton County Fire & Rescue provides a full range of emergency response services to all areas of Teton Valley (Teton County, Idaho, and part of Teton County, Wyoming). The department operates from three stations and is staffed with a combination of career and reserve (volunteer) firefighters. The Fire Chief and Deputy Fire Chief are supported by three Battalion Chiefs, who supervise shift crews and are responsible for training, logistics, and EMS initiatives.

Teton County Fire & Rescue firefighters are well trained and experienced in all aspects of structural and wildland firefighting, aircraft rescue firefighting, paramedic-level ambulance service, technical rescue, vehicle extrication, and hazardous materials response.

The dedicated men and women who proudly wear the uniform of Teton County Fire & Rescue are among the best-trained firefighters in the state of Idaho. All of the department’s full-time firefighters are certified as Firemen I or II by the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress. All of the department’s EMTs and Paramedics are trained and certified by accredited programs.

The department has been a part of the EMS System in Teton County since 2007 when it received a non-transport EMT Basic license from Idaho’s EMS governing entity. In February 2012, the department received a paramedic-level, non-transport license. On August 1, 2016, Teton County Fire & Rescue became the sole ambulance service provider for Teton Valley. With two ambulances (plus one reserve) based at Station 1 in Driggs and one ambulance based at Station 2 in Victor, all 911-dispatched ambulance calls and patient hospital transfers are staffed with our licensed paramedics and emergency medical technicians.
