Personal Details (family and hobbies): My wife, Stacey, and I have two sons and one daughter. Most of our time is spent raising our three children. When I do have free time, I enjoy baseball, hunting and taking advantage of any outdoor activities around our stunning mountain valley.

Why did you want to become a firefighter?: When I first moved to the valley, for a change of pace and priorities in my life, I vowed to become involved in the community. Our local volunteer fire department was offering a recruit class, and it sounded like a great start to the community involvement I was seeking. After successfully completing the class, I was cleared to begin responding to calls. After my very first call, I was hooked. And after each additional call, my initial reaction was confirmed. Although I don’t wish any misfortune on other people, I always find myself excited for the next call and the rewarding feeling I have from helping others and serving my community. In addition, I loved the physical requirements and excitement of the job. After being a volunteer for two years, it became increasingly evident that this was the job for me.
